BISG has a series of six programs a year. Programs are in-person events, sometimes with the option to attend remotely. Generally, programs are structured as two- to three-hour discussions involving a selected panel. The first part of each program is dedicated to a conversation within the panel about the topic for that session.
The second part, typically half of the allotted time, involves the audience in a discussion of the topic. Notes are taken throughout, and the results are published for the membership and the publishing community.
Members can attend programs free of charge. Non-members pay $99.
