Overview: This advanced half-day workshop introduces the complex range of pricing options in ONIX 3.0, and provides an opportunity for detailed discussion of delegates’ own real-world ONIX price data.
Workshop level: Intermediate/Advanced. This course is suitable for delegates with a good background knowledge of publishing and experience working with ONIX. It is aimed at staff with management responsibility for product metadata or software developers seeking more in-depth domain knowledge. Delegates should have attended the ONIX: essentials course, or have gained extensive experience of metadata management over several years.
Workshop outline: The workshop content is flexible but is focused on the needs of the supply chain to exchange price metadata without ambiguity. Workshop participants should discuss their requirements with EDItEUR in advance.
Introduction: Detailed structure of the <price> composite – what the standard says and what the best practice documentation recommends; the attributes of a price, including price types and qualifiers, tax details, currencies, territories, conditions, constraints, licenses, discounts, dates, price identifiers, returns, free of charge products etc.
Critique: Delegates’ real-world examples displayed, explained, critiqued and options for improvements discussed; international examples. Content can be anonymized where needed.
