With only four months left in 2019, BISG is looking toward 2020, and we are proud to present our content calendar for the coming year. This schedule is subject to change, of course, but I'm especially enthused to let you know what BISG is considering for our 2020 programming.

Good news: we're continuing to offer a wide range of in-person and online events, with a total of 32 planned for 2020. These include six two-hour programs held in New York, as well as our full-day annual meeting (planned for April 24) and "Book Publishing: From Concept to Consumer", which will be offered in September.

In June 2019, we hosted a program about print on-demand technology. By popular demand, it returns next February. This second session, "Innovations in Print On-Demand", will continue where the first left off, with expert discussion leaders, audience participation, and an exchange of cutting-edge ideas. This session will precede a full-day book production event hosted by BMI at the New York Marriott Eastside and co-located with our program.

March is National Women's Month. BISG will be working with other industry associations to host "Women Leadership Across the Supply Chain." An all-female panel of book industry experts will discuss their career trajectories, the unique challenges they've had to face, and what advice they'd give to their younger selves. This event is ideal for those new to the industry and seasoned veterans alike, as continue the conversation about gender diversity in the C-suite across the book supply chain.

The 2019 theme at BISG has been "innovation," something we'll extend into 2020 with a fun, technology-focused session. The Future is Now: AI and Blockchain in Book Publishing. Scheduled for June 2020, the program will explain new applications of these technologies, exploring the potential benefits to the book industry.

We'll return in the the fall with another rights program, following two successful rights sessions in 2018 and 2019. In October, we're bringing together HR experts to help you build a stronger business from the inside out with Inside HR: How to Discover (And Keep!) Great Talent!

November 2020 may seem forever away, but BISG is already getting excited for our first BISG Gives Back program. This event will extend what we've been doing with three previous Committee Town Halls, recognizing our invaluable committee members and volunteers, giving awards, and enjoying light refreshments. For BISG Gives Back, we will also donate a portion of all proceeds to a book-related charity. In the season of giving, BISG wants to widen the circle of support and gratitude.

The webinar schedule will remain consistent, with twice-monthly sessions on the first and third Tuesdays. Live sessions will occur at 1 p.m. ET, and the webinars will continue to be recorded and archived for those who can't make the live broadcast. Look forward to more detailed announcements about the webinar calendar and these events as we get closer to the new year.
