Announcing New Updates For the EPUB 3 Support Grid

Checking your reading devices' accessibility has never been simpler on the premier accessibility testing site.

The EPUB 3 Support Grid provides the most reliable, comprehensive and up-to-date reporting of EPUB 3.0 support. A major update to BISG's EPUB 3 Support Grid has improved the website making it easier to utilize than ever. Users are now able to:

  1. Find support by feature
  2. Refer to a URL pointing to the results of a specific test  and simple urls for referencing pages
  3. Have a variety of table views, sortable and filterable by headers, in small chunks
  4. Enjoy a cleaner, more accessible site
  5. Employ accessibility testing scores

Whether you're a publisher or educator struggling to understand which reading systems support various features of EPUB 3, or a reading systems developer looking for a way to test your your system's features support, or you're well along in implementing the features support, and want to let the world of publishers and educational institutions know you have a product that will perform for their needs, this update will be very valuable to you.

The EPUB 3 Support Grid is maintained by a working group of BISG's Content Structure Committee and was designed to be a handy reference to what enhancements and features of EPUB 3 render correctly on the most commonly used devices, apps, and reading systems, based on tests conducted by industry experts who represent leading publishers, service providers, and technology vendors.

Since early 2014, the Grid has been hosted at, a joint project between the International Digital Publishing Forum (IDPF), BISG, and the DAISY Consortium, to allow anyone to systematically test a reading system's conformance to EPUB 3.

The EPUB 3 Support Grid is one of the guides and other resources that BISG makes freely available for the benefit of everyone in the industry. We thank the volunteer committee and working group members who make them possible.
