BISG has a series of six programs a year. Programs are in-person events, sometimes with the option to attend remotely. Generally, programs are structured as two- to three-hour discussions involving a selected panel. The first part of each program is dedicated to a conversation within the panel about the topic for that session.
The second part, typically half of the allotted time, involves the audience in a discussion of the topic. Notes are taken throughout, and the results are published for the membership and the publishing community.
Members can attend programs free of charge. Non-members pay $99.
Recording of Supply-Chain Solutions: A BISG Town Hall
BISG invited Rebecca Burgoyne (The United Methodist Publishing), John Bohman (Penguin Random House), & Michael Shea (LSC Communications) to discuss what BISG and its committees have done in the past year and what they can do in the future to elevate pain points in the publishing supply chain.
You can watch the recording here on our GoToWebinar Channel.
Recording of Rights Across the Supply Chain
At this half-day program, free to BISG members, we had two panels with rights managers and c-level executives.
Finding & Exploiting Opportunities in Rights Management
A panel, moderated by Bill Rosenblatt (GiantSteps Media), included Zachary Haynes (Oxford University Press) & Ken Brooks (Macmillan Learning).
Rights Management Success Stories
This panel, moderated by Tricia McCraney (Virtusales), included Paulette Goldeweber (John Wiley & Sons), Becky Hemperly (Candlewick Press), & Jeff Corrick (Penguin Random House).
