This month's Brown Bag Lunch & Learn is a reprise and update of a popular session from 2022.

What is the current state of transportation and shipping for books?

Are there different stories for different modes of transport? What's going on with ocean freight rates? Is domestic trucking and driver capacity an ongoing concern?

What strategies exist to manage time and cost and how can they be implemented for the benefit of the entire supply chain?

Jason Farrell, Vice President of Distribution, University of Toronto Press, will once again answer these questions and more.

Please come ready to engage in a discussion. After a 20-minute presentation, there will be an open forum. To allow participants to speak -- and not just type questions -- these sessions are conducted in a Zoom meeting (rather than a webinar) format. Please ensure that your microphone is muted unless you'd like to contribute.

Please note: Unlike most BISG programming, this session will not be recorded. We've made this decision in order for participants to feel comfortable speaking openly about issues of concern. BISG may share unattributed notes after the session.

If you have a BISG account -- as member or non-member -- please log-in after clicking to register! If you don't have an account, please consider making one. Kindly avoid registering as a guest.
