Sabbithry Persad

Sabbithry Persad is an multi award-winning author of several books and the founder of Firewater Media Group, an independent publishing company specializing in empowering a generation of stewards through exploration of media and creative storytelling. Prior to her 13 years in book publishing, Sabbithry was the founder of Green Solutions Magazine (2007-2012), an online magazine tackling environmental issues through innovative environmental solutions. Previously, Sabbithry worked over fifteen years in information technology in various roles from technical support, technical writer, QA tester, and project manager to network and security administrator and IT Director. She holds an M.B.A., a B.A. in Sociology, a Post Graduate Diploma in Books, Magazine, and Electronic Publishing, and Certificates in Cybersecurity, Information Design and Audio Engineering. She is USARNG veteran officer and a current member of the Advocacy Committee, Market Access Working Group and AI Working Group at the Independent Book Publishers Association.
