BISG Working Groups

BISG working groups are formed when an industry issue or trend demands specialized study. The working groups report their findings and recommendations to one or more of BISG's five standing committees, which are asked to review and approve any recommendations.

Working groups have traditionally been time limited, allowing each group a time period to assess an issue or trend, discuss and document findings, and make one or more recommendations for their assigned topic. More recently, some working groups have been formed around ongoing topics, such as accessibility or sustainability, that do not have a clear end date in sight.

Working groups meet during the first full week of each month. Unlike committees, which all meet monthly, working groups have different meeting schedules that support their assigned work. The schedules for all working groups are posted on the events page and summarized on the working group pages available in this section. Our active working groups are as follows:
