Professional Bio

As Operations Manager, Brooke supports the work of BISG’s five committees, plans and markets webinars and events, and helps ensure that BISG continues to benefit the entire publishing supply chain.

A content maven, she has over eight years of experience in the book industry spanning roles in editing, acquisitions, project management, marketing, metadata, and bookselling. Her former roles include Junior Education Project Manager at Guilford Press, where she coordinated the development, planning, and marketing of education catalogs, and Acquisitions Editor for Pediment Publishing, where she acquired content for history books and managed their development through publication.

She holds a BA in English from the University of Florida and a MS in book publishing from Portland State University. In addition to serving as Operations Manager for BISG, Brooke is copyeditor of The Journal of San Diego History and book matchmaker at Taylor & Co. Books in Brooklyn.

In her free time, Brooke enjoys taking photographs, caring for her collection of houseplants, and exploring the many parks, museums, and purveyors of caffeinated beverages New York City has to offer. She’ll happily chat with you about her latest read, but please don’t ask her who her favorite author is.
