This month’s Brown Bag Lunch & Learn on inventory planning is the second in a three part sequence that will introduce strategies to help alleviate the impact of supply chain disruptions through better and more rigorous planning. After establishing a demand plan, as discussed in the February session, publishers must determine a inventory plan to be able to fulfill demand.
Once again, Gary Jones of River Rock Advisors will lead the discussion, supported by Ken Brooks of Treadwell Media Group, and chair of the BISG Supply Chain Committee. The presentation will include some simple strategies that you can employ to get started with inventory planning. Don't be afraid if you have little experience . All that matter is that you're interested in learning! The discussion will be easy to follow and tools presented will be easy to implement.

The three-part sequence concludes on April 4 with a discussion of supply planning, which will lead into the BISG Annual Meeting on April 28th. The topic of the meeting, Transforming Supply Chain Communication, will include discussions on the changes needed across the data stack, tech stack, and communications protocols to improve the book industry.
Like all Brown Bag Lunches, this month’s session will begin with a short presentation, but the bulk of the hour will be devoted to your questions, and an open discussion forum.
