Connect with BISG in London!

Posted By: Liz Bartek Announcements,

The Book Industry Study Group (BISG) is excited to announce our presence at two pivotal industry events in London this March. We invite you to join us at the London Book Fair and HP’s ConTEXT—prime opportunities to engage in meaningful discussions on the trends and challenges shaping the future of the book industry.

HP’s ConTEXT: March 10

BISG will again be participating in HP’s ConTEXT on March 10. This event addresses critical topics that are key to the future of print supply chains, including:

  • EU Regulations & Carbon Calculation: The Green Book Alliance will be part of a panel discussion that takes an in-depth look at regulatory impacts and sustainability measures. GBA co-founders BIC, BookNet Canada, and BISG will share their approaches to meeting regulatory requirements and expanding the collection and assessment of carbon data across book publishing.
  • Tariffs & Their Impact: ConTEXT will lead a conversation into current and potential tariff scenarios and their implications for the industry.
  • Growth in Special Finishing & Evolving Production Strategies: A discussion of advancements in production techniques and their effect on market competitiveness will round out the day.

If you are planning to attend ConTEXT, we encourage you to register as soon as possible. Seats are limited, and registration is free. You can secure your spot by visiting the ConTEXT event page.

London Book Fair: March 11–13

We are proud to be part of the London Book Fair again this year. Our dedicated team—Brian, Brooke, and Liz—will be co-exhibiting with EDItEUR at booth 3B36, and we are eager to connect with you. We’d be delighted to chat about all things supply chain, including:

  • Book Publishing Next: Stop by to learn more about BISG's vision for transforming supply chain communication in the book industry.
  • Rights: Hear how the evolving landscape of rights management holds the key to revenue growth, learn about the launch of our imprint directory, and hear how we're working to standardize the data required to reconcile royalty statements.
  • Metadata: We've been hard at work updating our Metadata Best Practices guide, with an update planned for later in 2025. Ask about our work to prepare the industry for implementation of the European Accessibility Act in 2025 and updated requirements under Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
  • Sustainability: Aligned with the Green Book Alliance, BISG's Sustainability Working Group is leading a year-long project to demonstrate how collecting and assessing carbon data can become a standard part of a publisher's workflow.
  • And More: Stop by to talk with us about emerging trends or share your insights on issues and topics that impact the industry. Have a pain point you'd like help with? Bring it to us!

We highly encourage you to schedule a meeting with our team at the Book Fair. Whether you're looking to explore collaboration opportunities or discuss the latest industry innovations, BISG is ready to dive into detailed conversations tailored to your interests. To secure a meeting slot, please contact us directly—we are committed to finding a time that works best for you.
